Wraparound Care and Clubs
At Ramsbury PreSchool we offer a “home from home” wrap around care experience for preschool children and primary school children up to and including year 2.
At various times in the year we also offer activity clubs such as Outdoor Adventure Club and Arts and Craft Clubs. These are open to all children up to the age of 7.
My children (7 and 5) love going to breakfast and afterschool club – and even ask to go on days they aren’t booked in! I was concerned that my need to add clubs to the beginning and end of a school day might be too much for them – but there seems to be a good mix of activities, free play and downtime and they always come out chatty and happy. Not sure how we would manage the juggle without it!
Rise and Shine Club
Our Rise and Shine Club runs Monday to Friday from 8-9am.
At breakfast club we offer children a relaxed start to their day where they can enjoy cereal and toast whilst getting ready for their busy day ahead. For those attending Ramsbury Primary School we walk the children up in plenty of time for the bell ringing! Breakfast Club can be as relaxed or active as the children desire with access to our outdoor space, drawing, reading and plenty of puzzles.
After School Club
After School Club runs from 3-5.15pm Monday to Thursday.
Our After School Club offers a home from home experience, giving children a warm and secure environment where they have a wide choice of activities to have a go at as well as plenty of arts and crafts. On arrival all children receive a healthy snack with water or milk and those staying beyond 4pm are given a home cooked hot meal, often having fun helping to cook it themselves.
Sample Menu
All our meals are prepared on site using only fresh ingredients. We try to use as much seasonal produce as possible as well as the vegetables we grow in our own vegetable garden. Below are samples of the meals we provide:
- Spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread followed by fruit yogurts.
- Mini toad in the holes with mashed potato and peas follwed by fruit jellies.
- Sausage, chips and beans followed by chocolate cake.
- Chicken curry with rice, followed by strawberry mousse.
- Hidden vergetable shepherd’s pie served with a side of broccoli followed by home decorated vanilla cakes.
- Chicken pesto pasta followed by ice cream and sprinkles.
- Fish finger wraps with potato wedges followed by Frozen Frubes
Activity Clubs
Across the course of the year we have started to offer a number of activity clubs that run from 3.30 until 5pm. Please contact the Bursar on bursar@ramsburypreschool.org.uk or call 01672520901 to find out the next session dates. Activity clubs are priced at £15 a session and include a healthy snack.
We are constantly looking at ways to expand our after school activity clubs offering so watch this space for new clubs coming later in the year.
Adventure Club
Adventure Club takes place in our newly developed outdoor classroom. Adventure club focuses on children having fun in the outdoors, learning about our environment, building dens, cooking over campfires, identifying animals and outdoor arts and crafts.
Arts and Crafts
At key points in the year such as Easter and Christmas we run a two week arts and crafts club. Children undertake making beautiful event themed creations which they can then take home as well as embarking on some event themed cooking.
